Melbourne trip 2011

My flight was the last few to leave KL for the night. I sat with 2 Finnish guys. The girl at the next seat, she was using all kind of cream throughout the trip, few hours before landing she even did a mask. her heels was also taken off, and change into a cotton pair of sandal.

Upon reaching, immigration was pretty fast, they didn't bother to ask me much question since i stated clearly where i would be heading to, and only for several days. Custom was not so nice since i was traveling alone, so had to go lane 6 where there was suppose to be dog sniffing, the dog don't even wanna care bout me, coz i got nothing tat attracts him.

Once outside the airport, the bus to the city was very easy to spot, and people are also very friendly. the bus even has a TV to advertise what is good in town, the bus driver was very nice and friendly too, very helpful as well.

I felt that there are super alot of Asian in tat city, almost everywhere i go sure can heard people speaking an asian language.

1st day morning was mainly around CBD area, along Swanston st (1895) and had lunch at a Jap cafe in Chinatown. Afternoon i went down to St Kilda beach, where i walk more than 4km.. the beach was very windy and sunny, such a pretty place to be. after tat went to see the Melbourne musuem, then walked along bourke st all the way back to spencer st. it was such a nice walk, as there was alot of people walking down the streets and i felt very safe, unlike if i was to walk along Jalan Bukit Bintang or such areas. At night went down to Docklands to see the night scene. I then roam around the CBD area without feeling worried about my safety. It would have been a different case if i was to be in Malaysia.

second day had brunch at a super packed cafe in Degraves Street. then off to Melbourne central to meet up with 2 of my fren who are studying in the city. Had a great chat over drinks (and food) at Max Brenner QV. after tat walked all the way to Victoria market, bought some souvenir there. Then headed back to Melbourne central to catch a train to South Yerra to see Chapel st. such a nice place la, how i wish Malaysia had such street.

It has been a very fulfilling trip for me. although many people say that it is too short (me too say so), but i know in my heart that this is what i want for now. it won't have happen without divine guidance and all the prayer that people have said on my behalf. i was able to see the most important places in Melbourne. the next trip must certainly be much longer, if possible even the great ocean road. i would love to drive on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide.

I would certainly remember this trip for a long time to come.

Total damage to my pocket is A$ 200. Some of the expenses was paid/ sponsored by my friend. Accommodation was taken care of, SIM card and tram ticket was also prepared.
Thank you dear for hosting me this trip.
